We will not be having a vocabulary lesson this week, but I wanted to let everyone know that the reading schedule for Fahrenheit 451 has been given to students. If students want to refer to the schedule online, I have posted here, as well.

Dear Parents and Guardians, I just wanted to let you know that I sent home a grade sheet yesterday with your child. Your child may get it signed by you, and then he or she may return it for extra credit. This grade sheet is like a snapshot of the grade as of this morning. I will continue to add graded work over the upcoming days. The end of the quarter is October 18. Students should continue to read independently for at least fifteen minutes a day. Students should be keeping a log of the reading in their independent reading diaries. Also, to get credit for pages read, students must post blogs of the books they have read. To see these blogs, you may visit http://ssbillingsley2.edublogs.org. Once blogs have been submitted and reviewed, they will be published on the blog site. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I do! Also, students may still turn in missing assignments until the end of the quarter except for the Vocabu-lit weekly lessons. These must be in by the end of the day on Wed. each week unless the student has been absent. Please remember you may obtain a password for the parent portal of the Lumen grade book to view your student's grades at any time. Contact the high school office to get a password. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. Thanks, Mrs. B. >
